About Me

I started my journey in June of 2012.  I was at a point in my life where I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my hair.  Like many others, I “did the big chop”.  My initial route was to get traditional locs.  This led me to breakage do to the excess weight they carried.  I was left with the question, “What am I going to do with this hair?”  I saw a lady who was visiting my church.  She had platinum hair and some type of “something” I had never seen before.  I was awe struck and realized I had my first hair crush.  I anxiously waited for church to end so that I could talk to her.  My only question was ‘What is in your hair?”  When she told me Sisterlocks, the extensive research was on.  It took me over a year to find someone to do my hair.  I traveled almost two hours away for my initial consultation.  After my establishment, I fell in love with my new hair. 

In my quest to get Sisterlocks, it was challenging locating a consultant.  With that being said, I did my research once again and made my decision to take the Certified Sisterlocks Consultant Training.  I felt my area was a great market and I’ll be able to expound on my existing natural hair license. 

I completed my initial training in April 2013 and became a Certified Sisterlocks Consultant in December 2013. It is was of the best decisions I have ever made.
