About Me

I grew up in a home where my mother was a licensed cosmetologist who specialized in natural hair; and so, for twenty years I was relaxer free.  After going off to college, I thought having a relaxer would make my hair more manageable and easier to care for.  I was “hooked” to the “creamy crack” for 17 years.  After the death of my parents, a cousin’s cancer diagnosis, and a struggle with my life purpose, I came home to Sisterlocks© in November 2008.  I had no idea there was a thing called Sisterlocks©, but the first time I saw them, I KNEW they were purposed for me. I fell in love with their look and versatility and the liberation they brought.  I found a fresh confidence and felt revived; I was ENERGIZED!  Wanting to share this new-found freedom and amazing hair care system, I enrolled in the 4-Day Class and later also obtained my Master Cosmetologist license.  My desire is simply to help others appreciate and love their God-given wavy, coily, curly, kinky…beautiful hair!​
